Business Sweden invites you to an exciting event regarding the business opportunities for Swedish companies related to Mexico’s most ambitious infrastructure project right now – the Mayan Train.

Currently, Mexico is investing in one of the country’s most ambitious infrastructure projects in modern times. It involves building a 1 500 km passenger and freight railway on the Yucatan peninsula to disperse tourism and facilitate communications in the area. The project is calculated to cost 7 billion USD and be finished in 2024.

Naturally, this investment creates many business opportunities for companies in the railway sector. The project is politically important and has got a lot of media attention, which is why it is of high importance for the government that the railway becomes a modern, efficient and high-technological success. The advanced technology that Sweden is known for within the railway sector is highly regarded in Mexico, which creates big opportunities specifically for Swedish companies. Therefore, Business Sweden, together with Swerig, will organize a seminar to present this project further and provide more details of the existing opportunities.
